Who We Are -
Black Lake is a one stop creative house. Since 2014 we’ve written, directed, shot and edited a wide variety of projects spanning all kinds of creative video work. Through all of our projects, everything always boils down to the reason we started - a love of film.

We know how hard it can be to get noticed in any creative field, so we want to give our skills back and collaborate with people we have the utmost respect for - actors. Offering resources that can sometimes be out of reach, we aim to raise up individuals and showcase their skillset and craft in the best light possible.

We work with actors to curate a cinematic scene creation to workshop a monologue of their choosing. Have a friend you want to run the scene with? That works too!
Our goal is to ensure you walk away with an industry standard piece of content for your demo.

With 8 years of directing under our belts, we also have the insight to help explore creative options on the day.

SELF TAPES | DONE DIFFERENT

With self tape becoming the standard, we believe that there’s a way to standout from the crowd.

We want to take your self tape to the next level with an integrated cinematic reading.
We offer a unique recording experience that pushes aside the cell phone and white wall. We’ll provide dynamic lighting, professional sound and video to create a cinematic viewing experience for your performance.
Professional quality not only helps sell your performance, but also captures the casting director’s attention and makes your presence known.

1 hour session - $200.00
Each additional hour - $100.00

DEMO REEL | THE NEW CUT

If there’s one thing we do a lot of, it’s editing. Our in house editing team has been going strong since 2014, cutting a wide range of narrative, commercial, music video, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

We’d love to shake the dust off of an old demo reel and give it some new life. Proper audio level balancing, clean transitions, and making sure we work with the Actors to ensure their best work shines bright.
